Designing A Kitchen with LG Studio and Nate Berkus

It's no secret that I want a different kitchen :) Well, scratch that...I want my kitchen to look different. I'm happy with the layout of my kitchen--love it, in fact. I'm just not too happy about the look and feel of it and I know that it is small changes that can definitely change the look of a kitchen--let it be paint, a new backsplash, updated accessories and even appliances. These small changes can go a long way. That's why I am happy to join LG in the introduction of their new line of appliances "LG Studio".

 All the appliances in my kitchen right now are LG and I love them. They have worked so well for me and my family over the past 5 years. After seeing the new line from LG Studio, I want to change my appliances out now :) This line is beautiful and oh so sleek and compliments each other so well. It helps that the new line is all stainless steel and super sophisticated.

So, of course I want new appliances in my home (even though I love my current ones), but it's other small changes also that can make a big impact. I decided to let my mind go wild and design what changes I want to see in my kitchen that I know will make me love it more.

First off, color. Color plays a big roll in giving you a fresh new look, let that either be through paint or accessories. I would love to paint my cabinets a pretty white and walls Benjamin Moore's Pewter Revere. I can imagine my kitchen now... having a pretty flowery roman shade across the window, with some open shelves displaying the perfect blue dishes, and tying the yellow in with a cute accent rug on my new hardwood floors :) Not too mention the updated matte subway tile backsplash and new pendant light fixtures right about the sink and island. And I have always loved these barstools. And too top off my newly painted white cabinets would be a brand new stove and fridge from LG Studio. If my husband is reading this....here's a little clue of what you can surprise me with ;) Lol. It's always fun to dream isn't it?

The best part about this design I have conjured up in my head is that there's no real demolition or renovation needed, just a few small changes :) I guess we'll see if those will happen anytime soon! I've also created a Pinterest Board that has a ton more kitchen ideas I would love to do...if only money were no object :)

What I'm loving about the LG Studio line is function meets design. This fridge has the Door-in-Door™ feature which allows you to get in and get out providing easy access to beverages and snacks and conserving energy....besides the fact that it just looks cool :) And the oven is perfect if you are preparing a lot of dishes and need them heated up fast. Beginning June 19 and extending to July 31, consumers are encouraged to enter the “My Kitchen Needs Nate” contest in which the winner will receive a Nate Berkus designed and remodeled kitchen that incorporates LG Studio appliances. Contestants are asked to shoot a video of themselves in their kitchen, noting the personal inspiration point they want Nate to incorporate in his design and why they’re excited about LG Studio’s line of appliances. LG Studio and Nate will choose the winner based on the following criteria: compelling design opportunity, quality of LG Studio appliance-based answer and visibility of kitchen space. Once the renovation is complete, renovation episodes, tip videos and images capturing the renovation will be posted to LGStudioKitchen.com and shared across LG and Nate’s social properties.
