Welcome to this Summer's Home Tour! Once again, I've teamed up with 29 other amazing bloggers to share our homes with you! Thank you to Marty from A Stroll Thru Life for hosting! If you are stopping by from Remodelando la Casa, welcome! Be sure to stick around to the end to find all the others joining in on the tour :)
So, I have to admit something. These past few months have been so crazy, busy with life that I feel like nothing has happened in my house since the Spring tour. In fact, as of yesterday, nothing had changed at all in my living room :) But, I whipped a few pillows together to help remedy that. I decided this year to go a little lake house-y for the Summer with lots of blues and yellows. I am loving blue and white stripes lately, you'll probably figure that out soon lol. Anyway! Let's get started :)
Here's my entryway. These barn doors are my newest addition. They have changed up my entry so much, I'm still trying to get used to them. You can read more about how I made them here.
The barn doors open to our front room/guest room combo. We actually had a guest stay here for a week a couple of weeks ago and it worked great! I was really nervous about giving up an actual bedroom as the guest room and am so happy that I was able to combine it seamlessly into my front room.

I love the peak of the entry hall from the front room.
This is the only place in the house I actually used a lighter blue instead of navy. It just felt so airy and fresh this way :)
From the hall, it opens into our great room. Once again, nothing has really changed in here except some new pillow covers and some random stuff moved around...and maybe a few extra stains on that poor rug lol

For the dining room, I went to my go to color, yellow! I just love yellow in here, and Summer just calls for a pop of it :)And that's it for now! I'll be sharing my Summer patio and bedroom in the coming weeks. Hope you enjoyed the tour :) If you are going in the loop, be sure to check out Rain On A Tin Roof next! You'll be sure to love Jenna's spunk and style! Here's the rest of today's tours also :)

ReplyDeleteBeautiful home tour! Your home is so light and airy and welcoming! Love, love, love that sliding barn door! Will be looking into that further!!!
ReplyDeleteJust lovely! Bright and summery and cozy...just love it!
ReplyDeleteLoving the way you added a fine decorating touch with those stripy pillows! That nightish blue adds a lovely summery feeling to you interior decor. To transform your home by mainly using white as a base colour would be quite a challenge for me! The last time I wanted to make our home look more attractive me and my husband did the saddest attempts of using white I've ever seen.... We had to ask professional painters and decorators london to undo the decor mess we did..
