And here's the new vintage style hamper. I envisioned something like this for awhile in here and finally decided to do it and just love it! I found this hamper on Amazon. They have a ton of different on the site too, some with wheels even :) (link)
And I just love this plaid throw. It's reversible and goes great for all seasons! Grey houndstooth on one side, and this burnt yellow/orange plaid on the other. This was a Home Goods find.
This is my favorite room in my house and am so happy how well it has come together over the years!
Now for my dining room. I rarely do place settings in here, so when I do, I have to document it :)
This is one of the rooms that won't be touched until Thanksgiving night when we traditionally put out all of our Christmas decor. The only room that is 'on' limits for me is the front room ...and occasionally I can get away with decorating the entry way.
I really loved my old wood bench top that I had on the table as a centerpiece, but am actually glad to see it gone too! I didn't realize how bulky it was until I removed it. I replaced it with this cute yellow striped runner from Home Goods and a new tray, also from Home Goods.
As for the place settings, just something super simple for now.
The woven place mats are from Ikea. I made the napkins from fabric found at Joann's.
I decided to add my seasonal comfort staple and put a blanket on the chair too. This blanket is also a Home Goods find.
I changed out the pillow covers with these new ones from Amazon. They are really pretty! Wish you could see them better in the picture :) You can look at this link here to see them better :)
As for this table...help! The top veneer is peeling and it is just a disaster. Plus, I'm starting to see more and more nicks everywhere. I think it's time to refinish it. I'm thinking new wood top and the bottom white. What do you think? Any other ideas?
I do love the wood contrast in here! So, I definitely want to keep the top some sort of dark/medium wood stain. Then I do love a grey washed look too!
Next time you see my house, it may just be all covered in Christmas!! :)
Did you make that starburst mirror? I love it!
ReplyDeleteNever mind, found it on your blog!! :)
