Neutral Fall Bedroom Decor -Tour 2020

Are you one to decorate your whole house for the season, or just a couple of select rooms? I definitely go all out with most seasons.  Come Christmas time....every single room in my house gets a dose of it. That being said, my bedroom didn't go unscathed from getting a little bit of a fall touch.

Would you believe me if I told you, that this was the first time I made my bed in months? ha! For reals. I wish I was one of those people who wake up and make their bed in the morning, but alas, I am not. In fact, 99% of the year, my bed is "made" of mounds of clothes and dog toys. I tend to make my bed more when it's newly decorated. So, that is really the only reason why I decorate in here for holidays. Gives me a reason to clean it :) 

For my little fall touches, I added pumpkins on the bench at the foot of my bed. I then brought in a footstool and brought some down to the ground. 

I love having this tray on the bench, it's just a little extra area to decorate. I kept it relatively simple with some torn out book pages and pumpkins. 

Throughout the years, the items on my nightstands have stayed pretty much the same. I do switch the bunches of greenery out for the season, and add a little item or so to what space that's left.

These cute little pumpkins fit perfectly here without having to move anything around. Adding fall touches doesn't have to be forced, just a little bit here or there usually does the trick! What I did do a little extra this year was change out my normal botanical prints for these fall ones. It's just a subtle change, but it made a fun little pop of fall. 

I don't share this view often, just because it's a bugger to take pictures of. The light is awful from this angle no matter what time of day. You may recognize this faux mantel from my living room from two years ago. I love it in here, even though it's not real, it makes my room feel a little more cozier.

It's funny how a clean room can put a smile on your face. It's seriously so nice to come in here when it's all made up, and not have to hop over dog toys and kids toys and clothes :) 

Now for what my plans are in this room. It's so hard to think about changing it when I already love it, but I have had dreams for years now on making this entire room floor to ceiling board and batten. I would then add faux beams to my vaulted ceiling. Not sure how my ugly ol' fan will fit, but it's not leaving me anytime soon :(. I haven't done it yet because I seriously am having a problem about changing something that doesn't really need to be changed. What are you thoughts? Go for it, or leave as is?
