As the days are getting shorter and cooler, I'm capitalizing on all the time that I can and spending it outdoors. I'm going to miss warmer weather! I decided this year, I wanted to make my patio decor more inviting for fall and evening hangouts. I found a crazy good deal on some pumpkins and went all out! I attempted to grow pumpkins this year, but only got one. I think I planted them where too many little feet walk. Silly me to think they would just step over them when they got in the way.
The fall patio decor mainly consists of pumpkins, lanterns and my plants that have somehow made it throughout the year without me killing them :) I bought this half wine barrel two years ago for our patio table and love it. It has survived two crazy winters and just keeps looking better each year! It's lightened up so much. This was the perfect little perch for some pumpkins and other decor.
My favorite thing to do while sitting here enjoying the warm weather is to read. These old books are the perfect addition for new reading. I also found this plaid shawl on Amazon, and then a week later, found the exact one at a yard sale. I currently have both! We will see if I ever get around to returning the other one :) I think it's a perfect piece to go from fall into Christmas.
These cushions are a must if you have little ones! We have a set of 4 and love them for indoors and outdoors. They are the perfect little seat!
Here's a full view of my outdoor fall decor! Look hard enough and you may see some amazing chalk art :)...and probably some bugs.
I hope you are enjoying this time of year and embracing fall! I'm getting there, slowly. I'm definitely not ready to start decorating for Christmas in 3 weeks though...ahh! Yep. That's a scary thought!
