Vintage Christmas Tree Decorations and Ideas

Well, I did it. I made the step away from flocked Christmas trees back to just the plain green ones. I can't believe that flocked trees seem to be going out of style! Don't fret, I still have my other two flocked trees in my living room and bedroom. I was wanting  more of an old world or Victorian feel in my front living room. I decided to change the tree to the new one I'm sharing below to help achieve that look. The tree has the most unique and realistic look with the best shape! With the new tree, vintage inspired tree trimmings needed to be added. Today I'm sharing the full list on what went into creating this vintage inspired Christmas tree. All of these can be found on Amazon! I've linked everything in the title, or just click on the picture to check it out for yourself :)

Here's a glimpse at my tree with all the vintage tree trimmings! I'm loving how this room is looking now with all my antique furniture and pieces. This tree is the perfect touch! I've shared my own pictures in the majority of the links below to give you an idea of what they look like past the store pictures :) The vintage ornaments are one thing I had to find a similar item for along with the gold ornaments. Hope this inspires you!

This tree is everything! It looked so pretty not decorated, and just as good with trimmings on it. Comes pre-lit with solid warm light bulbs. These are bright and create a beautiful glow.

Obviously you can just buy velvet ribbon...but good luck finding any in stores. At least around me, they are all sold out. So, this is the next best thing that gives the tree such a pretty look!

This is the best deal on velvet balls I have found that aren't sold out in stores!

These are very similar to my tear drop glass ornaments I bought from a vintage shop last year.

These gold ornaments are great to help reflect the lights on the tree.

Can you believe tinsel is coming back?! I had to be schooled on how to add it. Apparently you just add 2-3 strands per stem to get a great look that doesn't look overboard.

Why not add more gold and glisten to a tree that already has a ton? The light dances and moves off these so beautifully.

I had to add some garland, and it came in the form of these dark beads. I liked that they had graduating sizes.

Dried orange slices (you can make your own or buy them already dried out!)

Hope you found some inspiration in this! I'll be sharing the rest of this room next week :)
